If Your Account Is Over Its Plan Limits

Every plan has limits on workspaces and storage. If your account goes over them — most often after a downgrade, or when a paid plan ends — DEKO360 pauses changes to your account until you're back within your limits. Nothing is deleted for you, and you can fix it yourself in a few minutes.

What counts as being over

Your account is over its limits when either of these is true:

  • Too many workspaces. You own more workspaces than your plan allows.
  • Too much storage. Your tours' scenes, plus any VR images that are in albums, add up to more than your plan's storage.
Plan Workspaces Storage
Free 1 1GB
Individual 1 2GB
Creator 15 10GB
Agency 50 50GB

Your plan's limit on how many tours and albums can be published at once is separate — see Publishing Your Tour.

What happens

A banner at the top of every page tells you what's over, for example "You own 3 workspaces; your Free plan allows 1" or "You're using 2.4GB of 1GB storage", with links to fix it.

While your account is over its limits it is read-only:

  • You can still: open your dashboard and editors, look at your tours, delete things, and upgrade your plan.
  • You can't: create tours, VR images, albums or workspaces, upload, edit, publish, invite people, add a custom domain, or create an API key.
  • It applies to all your workspaces. People you've invited can look around but can't make changes either, until you fix it.
  • Published tours and albums over your plan's limit are unpublished — the newest ones stay live, and you get an email listing what was unpublished.

Tours and albums that stay published keep working for visitors and in embeds.

How to get back within your limits

You only need to fix whatever the banner says is over. Do any of these:

Delete or move extra workspaces

  1. Open Workspace settings from the workspace switcher in the sidebar and go to the workspace you want to remove.
  2. Under Delete workspace, choose Move everything to another workspace and pick one, or Delete everything permanently.
  3. Type the workspace name to confirm, then click Delete workspace.

Moving everything keeps your tours, VR images and albums. Members, pending invitations, API keys and the custom domain of the deleted workspace are removed. See Understanding Workspaces.

Free up storage

  • Delete tours you no longer need. Open the tour in the editor and use Delete tour in the Danger zone at the bottom of the side panel.
  • Delete scenes. Use the trash icon on a scene's thumbnail.
  • Take VR images out of albums. A VR image only uses storage while it's in an album, so removing it from the album (or deleting the album) frees its space. The image itself isn't deleted. See Hosting a Single VR Image.
  • Deleting a VR image or album also frees its space.

Upgrade

Go to Settings → Billing and choose a plan with higher limits. See Upgrading Your Plan.

After you're back within your limits

The lock lifts on its own, on your next click — you don't need to contact support, and the banner disappears. Then:

  1. Republish any tours or albums that were unpublished, as long as you're within your plan's published limit.
  2. Create or upload as usual again.
