If you already track your marketing with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Meta (Facebook) Pixel, you can connect the same tracking to your published tours — so visits to your tour show up in your own reporting and ad campaigns, not just ours.
Why this matters
A tour lives on its own page (and often gets embedded on portals outside your main website), so your website's usual tracking script doesn't automatically see visits to it. Connecting your own tracking IDs closes that gap — useful for:
- Retargeting — build an ad audience of people who viewed a specific property's tour.
- Campaign attribution — see which ad or listing drove someone to explore the tour.
- Conversion tracking — if you're also using a contact/lead form elsewhere on your site, tie tour engagement back to it.
Connecting your tracking IDs
- Open your tour in the editor.
- Click on empty space (no scene selected) so the right-hand panel shows Tour Properties.
- Scroll to Analytics & Tracking.
- Enter any of the following you use:
- Google Analytics measurement ID (format:
G-XXXXXXXXXX) - Google Tag Manager container ID (format:
GTM-XXXXXXX) - Meta Pixel ID (a numeric ID from your Meta Events Manager)
- Google Analytics measurement ID (format:
- Each field saves as soon as you click away from it.
You can find these IDs in your Google Analytics admin settings, your Google Tag Manager workspace, or your Meta Events Manager, respectively.
Which one should I use?
| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| Simple visitor stats in Google | Google Analytics (GA4) |
| To run Facebook or Instagram ads and retarget visitors | Meta Pixel |
| To manage several tags yourself, or your marketing team already uses Tag Manager | Google Tag Manager |
You don't need all three. Pick the one that matches how you already measure your marketing.
Step-by-step setup
Before you start, make sure your tour is published — tracking only runs on the public tour page, not inside the editor.
Google Analytics
- In Google Analytics, create a GA4 property for your listings or business.
- Under Admin → Data streams, add a Web stream.
- Copy the Measurement ID — it looks like
G-XXXXXXXXXX. - Paste it into Google Analytics measurement ID in the tour's Analytics & Tracking section.
- Open your public tour link. Within a minute or so you should see yourself under Reports → Realtime in Google Analytics.
Meta Pixel
- In Meta Events Manager, create a Pixel (Connect data sources → Web).
- Copy the Pixel ID — a number of 10 to 20 digits.
- Paste it into Meta Pixel ID.
- Check it with Meta's Pixel Helper Chrome extension on your public tour link. It should report a PageView event.
Google Tag Manager
- In Tag Manager, create a Web container and copy the Container ID (
GTM-XXXXXXX). - Paste it into Google Tag Manager container ID.
- Add your tags (for example GA4 or the Meta Pixel) inside the container, then Publish the container — tags don't fire until it's published.
- Check it with Tag Assistant on your public tour link.
Common mistakes
- Counting visits twice. If your Tag Manager container already contains a GA4 tag, don't also enter the same GA4 ID in the Google Analytics field. Use one route or the other.
- Pasting more than the ID. Enter only the ID itself (
G-…,GTM-…, or digits for Meta). Pasting a whole script snippet is rejected. - Expecting full session tracking on embedded tours. If you embed the tour on your own website, tracking runs inside the embedded frame, so a visit isn't connected to your site's own session. For the most accurate numbers, use the direct tour link in your ads and listings.
- Expecting to verify the domain. Your tracking IDs work on tours served from deko360.com without any domain verification — Google Analytics, Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel all start collecting once the ID is saved. You can't verify deko360.com itself, so Meta features that require a verified domain, such as some ad-optimization settings, aren't available for it. Check Meta's current requirements in your Events Manager if you run Meta ads.
- Expecting scene-level reports. The tracking records when the tour is opened. It doesn't report which scenes people view or which hotspots they click.
Removing tracking
Clear the field and click away to remove a tracking ID from a tour — this is per-tour, so removing one tour's tracking doesn't affect any others.
