A floor plan turns your tour into a walkable 3D model of the property, painted with your own 360° photos. Visitors see a 3D button in the viewer, orbit the whole home, then tap a room to drop straight into that scene. Drawing the plan takes a few minutes, and it's available on every plan.
What you need first
Before you draw, make sure:
- Your scenes are in spaces. Each space becomes one room on the plan. In the editor, use Spaces & Floors → Add space, then assign each scene to a space in the Scene Inspector. If you open the floor plan with no spaces, you'll be asked to create some first. For homes with several storeys, add your floors too and assign each space to one.
- Each scene has its west direction set. The plan is laid out relative to north. In every scene, turn the view to face west and click Set west to current view in the Scene Inspector. If any scenes are missing this, opening Floor plan shows a checklist (for example "3 of 5 scenes set") with a Go to the editor button.
Drawing the floor plan
- In the editor's top bar, click Floor plan.
- Select a room in the Rooms list and click Draw.
- Click each corner of the room on the plan. To finish, click the first corner again, double-click, or press Enter. Press Esc to cancel.
- Repeat for every room. Each scene appears as a dot on the plan. Drag a dot to where that scene was shot, inside its room. Scenes that aren't in a room yet are listed under Scenes without a room.
- Click Save.
An outline that crosses itself or is too small turns red and can't be saved until you fix it. The editor shows "Fix the red rooms before saving them."
Adjusting rooms
- Move a room by dragging it. Redraw replaces its outline.
- Reshape a room by dragging its corners. Drag a point on a wall to add a corner and bend it.
- Rotate a room with the rotate handle (hold Shift for 15° steps), or use the 90° and 15° buttons.
- Undo and Redo step through your changes. Nothing is saved until you click Save; you'll see Unsaved changes until you do.
- Clear outline removes every room outline and puts each scene dot back at its default position, after you confirm. You can still undo it, and nothing is saved until you press Save.
Multi-floor properties
Use the Floor switcher to work on one floor at a time. Under Layers you can show the outline of another floor behind the one you're editing, which helps you line rooms up, or hide the floor you're editing to see what's underneath. In 3D, the floors are stacked as one building.
Outdoor spaces
Spaces marked as outdoor, such as a garden, balcony or terrace, are drawn as open ground with no walls or ceiling, so the layout reads naturally.
Floor photo
Turn on Floor photo to project each scene's 360° photo top-down onto the plan. It's a quick way to check that your rooms and scene dots line up with what's really on the floor. It's an editing aid and isn't saved.
Leaving a scene out of 3D
If a scene should stay in the tour but not appear on the plan or in the 3D model, open it and turn on Exclude from floor plan and 3D view.
What visitors see
Once the tour is published and the plan is saved, visitors get a 3D button in the viewer. They drag to orbit and pinch to zoom, then tap a room's marker to fly into that scene. Going back returns them to the 3D view, still facing the way they were looking. Photos are prepared in the background while visitors are in the tour, so 3D opens fully painted.
Troubleshooting
- The Floor plan button asks for a compass direction. Set west on every scene you want in the plan (see "What you need first").
- A room can't be saved. Its outline is red: it crosses itself or is too small. Redraw it or drag the corners until it turns normal.
- A scene is missing from the plan. Check it's assigned to a space and isn't set to Exclude from floor plan and 3D view.
