Customizing Hotspot Icons
By default, hotspots appear as a simple pulsing dot. You can swap this for a different icon to better match what the hotspot leads to — available on every plan. Choosing an icon for the whole tour 1. Open your tour in the editor. 2. Click on empty space (make sure no scene is selected) so the right-hand panel shows Tour Properties instead of the scene inspector. 3. Under Hotspot Icon, pick from the available icons: Dot, Pin, Arrow, Door, Info, Star, Flag, and Compass. This sets the default icon used by every hotspot in the tour that hasn't been given its own icon. Overriding the icon for a single hotspot You're not limited to one icon per tour — any hotspot can use a different icon from the tour-wide default: 1. Select the hotspot from the hotspot list in the right-hand panel. 2. Under Hotspot Icon (shown in that hotspot's own settings), pick a different icon just for that hotspot. This is useful for mixing icons purposefully — for example, Door for room-to-room transitions and Info for a hotspot that just reveals more detail about the current room. Choosing the right icon - Door works well for room-to-room transitions. - Arrow or Compass suit directional movement, like walking down a hallway. - Info is a good fit if a hotspot leads to more detail rather than a new room. - Pin or Star can highlight a hotspot pointing to a featured space (a pool, a view, a rooftop). Changes apply immediately — you'll see the new icon on the live editor stage, and it updates on your published tour as soon as you save.
Reprocessing & Fixing Scenes
After you upload a panorama, Deko360 automatically processes it in the background — this generates the smooth 360° view and depth information the viewer needs. Most scenes finish processing within a couple of minutes. Scene status Each scene shows one of these states: - Queued — waiting for processing to start. - Processing — actively generating the 360° view. - Ready — done; the scene is fully explorable and hotspots can be placed on it. - Failed — something went wrong during processing. If a scene fails to process 1. Select the scene in the editor. 2. Click Reprocess in the right-hand panel to try again. 3. If it fails repeatedly, double-check the source photo: - It should be a genuine equirectangular panorama (2:1 width-to-height ratio), not a cropped or regular photo. - It should be a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file no larger than 100MB. - Very dark, blurry, or heavily corrupted files can also cause processing to fail — try re-exporting or re-shooting the panorama. Re-generating an already-working scene If you're not happy with how a scene turned out (for example, the depth-based effects look off), you can hit Reprocess on any ready scene to regenerate it from the original upload. Working with Scenes & Hotspots
Managing scenes Every panorama you upload becomes a scene in your tour. Scenes appear as a strip of thumbnails along the bottom of the editor. - Select a scene by clicking its thumbnail — it loads into the main viewer above. - Rename a scene by selecting it, then editing the Scene title field in the right-hand panel. - Reorder isn't needed for navigation (hotspots define how visitors move between scenes), but the strip order is the sequence you and your team see while editing. - Delete a scene using the trash icon that appears on hover over its thumbnail. This also removes any hotspots that pointed to it — double-check nothing important still links there first. - Add more scenes any time by dragging new panoramas onto the "+" tile at the end of the strip. Each scene shows a small status indicator while it's uploading and processing (queued → processing → ready). If processing fails, a Reprocess option appears so you can retry — see Troubleshooting Uploads & Processing. Placing hotspots Hotspots are the clickable markers that let a visitor walk from one scene to another. 1. Select the scene you want to add a hotspot to. 2. Click Add Hotspot in the toolbar above the viewer. 3. Click anywhere on the 360° panorama to drop a marker at that spot — typically a doorway, staircase, or opening. 4. In the hotspot list on the right, choose the Destination scene from the dropdown. A hotspot with no destination selected is marked Unlinked — visitors can see the marker but clicking it won't take them anywhere, so make sure every hotspot you place gets a destination. Removing a hotspot Open the hotspot list in the right-hand panel and click the trash icon next to the hotspot you want to remove. Building a walkable tour Think of hotspots as doors: if a visitor can walk from the Living Room into the Kitchen, place a hotspot in the Living Room scene pointing to the Kitchen — and one in the Kitchen scene pointing back to the Living Room. Tours feel best when every connection works both ways. Related guides - Customizing Hotspot Icons - Reprocessing & Fixing Scenes
