By default, hotspots appear as a simple pulsing dot. You can swap this for a different icon to better match what the hotspot leads to — available on every plan.
Choosing an icon for the whole tour
- Open your tour in the editor.
- Click on empty space (make sure no scene is selected) so the right-hand panel shows Tour Properties instead of the scene inspector.
- Under Hotspot Icon, pick from the available icons: Dot, Pin, Arrow, Door, Info, Star, Flag, and Compass.
This sets the default icon used by every hotspot in the tour that hasn't been given its own icon.
Overriding the icon for a single hotspot
You're not limited to one icon per tour — any hotspot can use a different icon from the tour-wide default:
- Select the hotspot from the hotspot list in the right-hand panel.
- Under Hotspot Icon (shown in that hotspot's own settings), pick a different icon just for that hotspot.
This is useful for mixing icons purposefully — for example, Door for room-to-room transitions and Info for a hotspot that just reveals more detail about the current room.
Choosing the right icon
- Door works well for room-to-room transitions.
- Arrow or Compass suit directional movement, like walking down a hallway.
- Info is a good fit if a hotspot leads to more detail rather than a new room.
- Pin or Star can highlight a hotspot pointing to a featured space (a pool, a view, a rooftop).
Changes apply immediately — you'll see the new icon on the live editor stage, and it updates on your published tour as soon as you save.
