The tour editor is where you build a tour: organize rooms, upload panoramas, link scenes with hotspots, polish the experience and publish. This guide shows how the editor is laid out and the usual order of work. Start here, then follow the links for each step.

Opening the editor

Open any tour from your Dashboard, or create a new one with Create New Tour. New tours open straight in the editor. If you haven't made a tour yet, start with Creating Your First 360° VR Tour.

How the editor is laid out

  • Top bar — the tour title, a status badge (Draft, or who can view it once it's live), your view count, and shortcuts: Script for guided tours, Floor plan, Preview or View, Copy embed, and Export on Creator and Agency plans.
  • Main viewer — the selected scene as a 360° panorama. Drag to look around, scroll or pinch to zoom.
  • Scene strip (bottom) — one thumbnail per scene, with a status indicator while it uploads and processes. Drag panoramas onto the + tile to add scenes.
  • Right-hand panel — collapsible sections:
    • Scene Inspector — settings for the selected scene: title, space, hotspots, blur regions, compass and start view, and Reprocess.
    • Spaces & Floors — your rooms and, for multi-floor properties, your floors.
    • Tour Properties — settings for the whole tour: title, hotspot icon, branding, tracking, access and more. Click empty space (no scene selected) to reach it.
  • Undo and Redo — step back or forward through your recent changes. Changes save automatically; the editor shows Saving… then Saved.

The usual workflow

1. Create the tour

Name it (usually the property address) and say whether it's indoor or outdoor, an apartment or a house, and whether it has multiple floors.

2. Add spaces (rooms)

A space is a room or area such as Kitchen, Bedroom or Garden. In Spaces & Floors, click Add space, give it a name, pick a Category and say whether it's indoor or outdoor. For multi-floor properties, use Add floor (above or below) and assign each space to a floor. Spaces are what the floor plan and 3D view are built from, so it's worth doing early. They're optional for a simple tour. See Organizing Scenes into Spaces & Floors.

3. Upload your panoramas

Select a space, then drag panoramas onto the upload strip, or click it to choose files. Each file becomes a scene in that space. DEKO360 processes every panorama in the background; a scene is ready once its status says Ready. See Reprocessing & Fixing Scenes if one fails.

4. Link scenes with hotspots

Select a scene, click Add hotspot, click the doorway or opening in the panorama, then choose the Destination scene. Add a hotspot back from the destination too. Details are in Working with Scenes & Hotspots. You can restyle markers with Customizing Hotspot Icons and Hotspot Orientation & Attention Animation.

5. Set the compass and start view

In each scene, turn the view to face west and click Set west to current view in the Scene Inspector. The floor plan and the Walk transition both need this. See Setting the Compass Direction & Start View. On the first scene you can also turn to the direction visitors should face when the tour opens and click Set start view.

6. Choose a scene transition

Under Tour Properties, pick Fade or Walk. Walk moves the camera between scenes and needs at least two linked scenes, each with a finished depth map and a compass direction. Check Walk setup lists what's missing. Any scene that isn't ready falls back to Fade. See Scene Transitions: Fade vs Walk.

7. Protect privacy

Use Blur area to permanently blur faces, license plates and house numbers. See Blurring Faces & Sensitive details.

8. Add a guided tour (optional)

Click Script to build an autoplay walkthrough. See Autoplay Tour (Guided Script).

9. Add a floor plan and 3D view (optional)

Click Floor plan to outline your rooms and unlock the 3D dollhouse view. See Floor Plan & 3D Dollhouse View.

10. Finish and publish

Review title, previews and other tour-wide settings in Tour Properties, check the tour with Preview, then publish it. See Publishing Your Tour and Embedding Your Tour.
